My Other Jobs

My full-time job is to be a wife and mother. That consumes the majority of my time. I love being a companion to my husband, providing care to my children, and spending quality time with my family.
My other identity is that of a nurse practitioner. I spent way too many years in school to not use my education to benefit others. In the medical field if you don't use it, you lose it! So, I enjoy providing care to others one day a week. I have the best of both worlds--the majority of my time is spent at home with my children teaching them, caring for them and nurturing them. But, I still have the opportunity to use the skill of caring that God has provided me with by focusing on the patient's I see in the urgent care center where I work.
My third job is almost strictly fun--who wouldn't want a job like that? A little over two years ago my sister-in-law, mother-in-law and I started Sassy Klassy 'N More (SKM). The three of us are in the picture above. We specialize in custom designed handbags, totes and accessories. This is where my creative side comes out. It has been fun developing our business, designing our products and sharing our excitement with our customers. Alot of work has gone into our website, www.sassyklassy.com, to bring our product line up to date. We have been very busy lately as we prepare for a quickly approaching event. We will be participating in the Holiday Galleria in Wichita. Holiday Galleria is an event organized by the local Junior League group. They bring in many vendors to set up booths with their products for an all-in-one-place shopping event. The event begins October 2nd and we feel like we are prepared. So, if you are in the area come and check us out--we would love to see a familiar face.
That is what consumes the majority of my "work" time. I enjoy each and every job that I have and their similarities as well as their differences make them each unique and very fun!
