School Has Started

Aubrey started school this morning! She was so excited to go see her teacher and her old friends from last year. The weather today was quite a change from our 90 degree days we have been having. This morning we woke up to rain and 57 degrees--yikes! Aubrey had picked out this outfit to wear originally but I told her it would probably be too hot to wear it so we picked something else--but since it was so cool she was able to wear her 1st pick! She started her day off right with some brain power--1/2 egg sandwich, 2 bowls of cereal and one cup of milk.

This is Aubrey's teacher, Mrs. Killingsworth. She was one of Aubrey's teachers last year as well.
Micaela (above) & Bailey (below) were in Aubrey's class last year as well. She has grown quite fond of both of them.
Aubrey did great when I left this morning. Last year she had a hard time each day when I would leave. She is really growing up--this morning she gave me a kiss and said "Goodbye Mom". I was so proud of her.

We already had homework to turn in for the first day of school. Each student was to make a collage of their favorite things. We had a lot of fun working on this and getting it put together. They will use it throughout the year to look at and let their friends and teachers know about things that make them happy. It did not take Aubrey long at all to think of her favorite things and people! We ran out of space so we had to use the back as well.
