This past weekend I enjoyed getting together with two of my favorite people at our 2nd Annual Ladies Weekend. I spent time with my two sisters, Livia & Michelle. Ladies weekend is a weekend where we get together without husbands and kids and do things together. Our activities mainly consist of scrapbooking but this year we through a few extras in. Last September was the first time we planned a weekend to spend together as just the girls and we enjoyed it so much we decided it needed to occur at least once a year. Our group consisted of four last year as our good friend Amy joined us. We sure did miss you this year, Amy!
Now some of you may be thinking--how can they scrap for an entire weekend? Well we definitely make it fun. We plan out meals and each participate in preparing them. This year we had one meal that was just snacky type things. We enjoyed some fabulous new dips & goodies! We also try some new drinks--this years favorite was an authentic, homeade Mojito--thank you Livia for introducing us to this yummy treat!
During our hours of scrapbooking we like to watch a few "girly" movies and listen to some fun music in addition to admiring all the creativity that flows as we work on our scrapbooks. On Saturday afternoon we did take a trip to a small wine store that was having a special celebration. It was fun to see the fun gift items they had, try some yummy dessert cheese balls and get a sip of a new wine based drink.
Livia worked on a scrapbook for her son Stanton's 2nd year of life. She is very creative and comes up with some adorable layouts!
I was able to complete Abigail's baby book and work on Aubrey's album as well. I feel like I accomplished a lot!
Michelle worked on albums for Emily & Chase and completed an very creative outdoors layout complete with a life like tree!I am already looking forward to our 3rd annual ladies weekend in 2009. Thank you for a fabulous and relaxing weekend, Livia & Michelle.
