While Daddy Is Away The Girls Will Play!

It's just the girls and I this weekend. Brian is enjoying a great weekend with his Dad in California. Which means we had to find something fun to do around here this weekend as well. This morning we headed down to Crown Center which is a dining and shopping establishment that surrounds the world headquarters of Hallmark Cards. We arrived around lunch time so we headed directly to Fritz's Railroad Restaurant. This is the third time the girls have had the chance to dine with the trains and they absolutely love it each time. I have to admit--I love it! It is so fun. When you are seated you are given complimentary conductor hats. Once you have decided what you are going to order you "call" in your order on the phone in your booth.
It is then delivered on a train!!! Is that not the most brilliant thing ever?! The girls, no matter how hungry, are always fascinated and anxiously anticipate which table the train will stop at.
When the train dropped our food off this afternoon Aubrey screamed with excitement. I immediately started telling her to stop screaming and then I realized that there was so much noise from all the other kids in the establishment that her scream just muffled in. A very fun lunch date!
We then headed to Kaleidoscope, a free hands-on art experience sponsored by Hallmark. I just love the word FREE! The decor was so bright, fun and intriguing which kept everyone's attention. Aubrey (who just recently become interested in artsy type things) said "this is the funnest place ever". There are all kinds of things kids can make, color, glue, paint, or tape.

These are all of the fun things the girls were able to create.
