A Wedding Shower

A conversation between Aubrey & I the other day:

A--"Mom, did you know that Mr. Dimmitt (her teacher) is getting married?"
Me--"Yes"
A--"Mom, do you know who he's marrying?"
Me--"Yes.  Do you?"
A--"Yes!!!  Miss Bush!!!"

She was so excited!!  She has had a fun year with Mr. Dimmitt as her teacher and she really enjoys his fiance who is a library aide at the school and has also been her pride group leader for the second half of the school year.  Aubrey loves a fairy tale...she loves to talk about people getting married...and she loves to talk about how they are getting married.
The class had a shower for them since the school year is wrapping up and they will be married in a little less than 1 week!!  A friend of mine and I went to the school and asked the kids to write down "advice" that they had for Mr. Dimmitt & Miss Bush about being a good wife or husband.  We then put their handwritten advice plus a picture of each of them in a scrapbook.  They kids did a great job of keeping it a secret until the shower.  This past Friday we helped the two of them celebrate with yummy goodies, gifts and games.

Trying to figure out what is in the present before it is unwrapped was fun for the kids...we heard some crazy answers.

Mr. Dimmitt reads the kids' advice out loud after opening the scrapbook.  So sweet!!
