Deja Vu

When I was 3 years old, I started to play with matchbox cars.  I really liked them.  My like became a LOVE!  Don't get me wrong...I also loved to play with Barbie dolls and babies but I really liked playing with cars as well.  My friend, Julie, and I would spend many hours driving our imaginary families around as they went through their day.  A few years later a dear family friend, Madeline, made me a "town" to drive my cars on.  This wasn't just any town...it was a replica of the town we lived in.  It included my house, my school, the skating rink we went to, the dance school I took classes at, etc.  Well, those memories live on...almost daily...as my girls play cars on that same "town" with some of the same cars that I played with (and many that Brian had when he was a child too).
Aubrey created a rollover crash between a few cars to which the ambulance, fire truck and police car screamed towards before taking the victims to the hospital.
I love watching them play as I did when I was a little girl.  And, shhh...don't tell anyone...I still like it when they ask me to play with them.  Heck yea, mommy will play.  I am so grateful for the fun times that this "town" has brought me but even more grateful for the beautiful woman who made it for me!
