Guys Weekend with a Twist

This past weekend Brian enjoyed a "Guys Weekend" in Wichita. He enjoyed time spent with both of his brother-in-laws and a friend. It was time for him to get a little break and to do whatever he wanted. They took in a WSU Shockers baseball game and some Old Town fun in addition to just hanging out.

Meanwhile, we had a great time of our own here at home. Aunt Livia, Aunt Michelle and all three of the girls' cousins (Emily, Chase & Stanton) came to visit us in our home. Livia, Michelle and I call it "Our Weekend with Kids". We enjoyed a relaxing weekend watching the kids play and visiting our favorite place--Deanna Rose. (Yes, we frequent that place quite a bit--the kids love it and it is essentially free thanks to donation dollars!)

The cow barn was a hit with all of the kids. Stanton kept looking up at this fiberglass cow and kept waiting for it to move or moo or something! Emily, Chase and Aubrey enjoyed visiting with Pippi the Cow, who is very real and very pregnant. She is to have her calf in about one month. The girl's and I have been watching her on the "Cow Cam" periodically to see if she has had the baby.

While the older kids fed the goats the approved food, Abigail was quite worried that this goat would snatch some of her goldfish.

The older kids posed as flowers in beautiful pots while.....

...Stanton was a very cute caterpillar and.....

...Abigail turned into a beautiful butterfly!
