Wonderful Mother's Day Weekend

Happy Mother's Day! We hope everyone enjoyed being celebrated as a mom or celebrating their mom. I had a wonderful day spent with my girls and husband! I was treated like royalty the entire day! Brian (with the help of two little girls) definitely outdid himself. I was surprised by beautiful peach colored tulips (my favorite flower)and a handmade card before heading off to church. There I received two special gifts--they were giving each family a CD featuring their children's choir and then when I picked Abigail up from the nursery I received a pink carnation. We then enjoyed brunch at a "new to us" restaurant--Sweet Tomatoes. They had the best cinnamon buns--I couldn't get enough.

Me and my adorable girls, the beautiful flowers and precious card Brian helped them make--notice the handprint of "I love you" in sign language.

Our afternoon went by quickly as the three Sommer girls took 3 hour naps--I definitely needed a little catching up on my Zzzz's. When we awoke Brian had a picnic dinner ready to go to the park. Aubrey , Abigail & I played on the playground while he grilled us some hamburgers. The meal was delicious as were the smores for dessert. We definitely needed the walk we enjoyed around the park area before heading home. I truly enjoyed my day. It was very relaxing and made me appreciate motherhood--it is such a special gift. Beyond the material gifts I received that day the pictures below feature the two most meaningful gifts to me--my daughters!
