The girl's enjoyed a day with Daddy today. It was a very busy day but all three of them enjoyed it. I had a committment over lunch so Brian took the day off to hang out with the girls. What a great guy and Daddy. It was Aubrey's last day of school for this year so she had the opportunity to eat lunch at school and a parent could join them. Brian picked up McDonald's and (with Abigail in tow) enjoyed a lunch date with his daughters at preschool. Aubrey said it was so much fun!
The afternoon hours, which are usually filled with naps, were spent taking a walk and going to a doctor's appointment. Aubrey has suffered from headaches for almost a year now and has been diagnosed with migraines. However, in the past few months she complains of headaches just about every other day and they have frequently reached the point of nausea and vomiting. We felt it was time to have her seen again to be sure that nothing else is causing these and that they truly are migraines. Well, today was the only appointment available for over a week and Brian agreed to take on the challenge by himself. So, it was off to the doctor's office with a headache log in hand and a list of all of my questions for the doctor. During the visit they took an X-ray of her sinuses and drew some more blood. Aubrey did fantastic. She did not cry nor did she flinch when they drew her blood--the technicians were so impressed! The preliminary report of the X-ray is normal and it will be a couple of days before the lab results are back. Aubrey has been scheduled to see a neurologist and we are very lucky to have an appointment for in the morning. So, hopefully we will know more after that appointment. We pray that it is nothing more and if it is migraines that we will soon learn how to help her not have as many headaches. She is too little to have to worry about such things!
Following the doctor's appointment Daddy took Aubrey to buy some new tennis shoes. She picked out some very cute pink and grey shoes that make her run really fast (she claims). If she has a shoe addiction when she gets older, I think we can blame him!
