The Custer's Join Us

Livia, Lance and Stanton joined us in Farmington on May 23rd. It was great to be together but sure did miss Brian.

We of course packed our time with many activities but that is the way it is with little kiddos. However, every afternoon was quiet while Aubrey, Abby & Stanton rested up for the rest of the day. A few times while they were resting Lance and Dad were in charge while Mom, Livia, and I enjoyed some shopping and pedicures!

In celebration of Memorial Day a River Festival was taking place with many activities and booths. We arrived just in time to watch some "weinie dog" races. The kids got such a kick out of watching these little dogs run to the finish line but really enjoyed those that came over to the fence where they were sitting. Abby would do her version of a dog bark, wrinkle her nose and laugh! We had a very healthy lunch of fair-type food for lunch complete with a pile of curly-Q fries. Aubrey and Stanton couldn't get enough of the corn on the cob and ended up sharing one without arguement.
The majority of our time was spent outdoors in either the backyard, taking walks around the cul-de-sac, or playing at the park. For the majority of our time, the weather was beautiful! Sunny and 80 degrees--you can't ask for much better than that.

The kids enjoyed playing various things inside as well. Some of the things that kept them entertained was Aubrey's tea making business with a play mixer and playing with my old dollhouse. We didn't have any people or furniture to go with it so Aubrey and I headed out to buy some. After discovering that they are very expensive at Hobby Lobby we decided we could make people and furniture to go with it. Surprisingly, Aubrey went for this and they all had fun with their spoon people and wrapped wood furniture!
