Yellowstone: Day 1

We took a trip...a LONG trip. Make that a 19 hour road trip with my sister, Livia & her family to Wyoming. Our final destination was Yellowstone. After the family reunion we piled back into the van & caravaned with my parents to the cabin we would call home for a week.
The next day it was time to hit the National Park & we made a full day of it. We entered in through the East entrance & took in some absolutely beautiful sites. Make that some amazing sites. God definitely did some fabulous work when he created this area...breathtaking, unusual & unique are just three of many adjectives that could be used for description.

These photos are of the Upper & Lower Fall. No words needed...they speak for themselves.

Here is Mom, Abigail, Aubrey & Stanton enjoying the fresh air by the Yellowstone Lake. The water was crystal clear, the sky was bright blue & the sun was shining.

We followed the Yellowstone River along the way & enjoyed how fast it became at times. The thoughts of river rafting crossed our minds but the cold water quickly changed them.
Along the way were the Mud Volcano that smelled like sulphur. The smell was quite strong hence the plugging of our noses! However, the view of mud boiling when the temperature was in the 70's is amazing. We learned alot about geysers and such on this trip.
Here is the Dragon's Mouth.
And this is the Black Dragon's Caldron.
It was so much fun experiencing these sights with our family. Everything was so relaxing but also very intriguing.
