Harvest Time

Since our return from Yellowstone we have been busy little farmers. The above picture was taken of our garden before we left & unfortunately I did not get one of it after we left...because it was a jungle. Our gracious neighbor took on the chore of watching the garden for us & I think he slipped it some steroids or miracle grow or something. It is so difficult to see where the zucchini end and the other plants begin...but we have had some amazing produce.
The girls have had fun picking cucumber, zucchini, yellow squash & okra. They have also been very patient as we wait for our peppers & tomatoes to ripen...we have 12 yellow/green peppers & 25 tomatoes that will be ready soon.
I have had such a good time with our garden. It is a daily chore that the girls & I can do together. I have also enjoyed getting a chuckle as I walk through the produce section at the grocery store & see the price of an item I know is hanging on the vine in our backyard.

The grocery store prices... that's my favorite thing, too. :) Love having a garden! Sounds like we pretty much planted the same stuff.
