Celebrating & Making Beautiful Eggs

This Easter season has been a fun one. Aubrey is really understanding the meaning of this time when we thank Jesus for dying on the cross for our sins and celebrate as he arose to Heaven. The past couple Fridays she has asked me if it is finally the "good" one...she is excited and that makes us smile. This past Wednesday, Aubrey had an Easter program at school. They started out with a story which was followed by a visit from the Easter bunny, a few songs, and then an Easter egg hunt outside. When the hunt was over it was time for the main event. The parents sat in the sanctuary and Aubrey's class re-enacted the entire Easter story. It was absolutely FABULOUS...they did such a good job. Aubrey was one of the disciples. After watching that program it has me determined to buy a video camera. We have always made due with the 3 minute clips that we can capture on our camera but it is definitely time for a video camera.
That evening we all participated in the coloring of Easter Eggs. The girls had a great time and the eggs turned out beautifully.
Aubrey & Abigail loved watching the eggs start to change from white to beautiful bright Spring colors.
Abigail was amazed at how they changed colors and was partial to the pink ones.
Two beautiful girls with very bright eggs.
