Has it really been 12 days since my last blog entry? The answer is yes! The only excuse I have is that things have been busy which means we have been having a lot of fun. So, it is time for a marathon blogging session--so hold on tight! I think I will start with some random things that have intrigued us, other things that have brought smiles to our faces and of course play time!
This Praying (or should I say preying--perfect place for a pun if you ask me!) Mantis was hanging out on the steps up to our front door one afternoon. This guy was huge--7 inches in length--and the meal he was feasting on was a very large grasshopper. It was fascinating to watch him munch away on his snack.
Aubrey has started to take interest in photography. She loves to take pictures with the camera, especially self portraits. I thought this one was very unique and had to share. What did we do before digital? I can't imagine how much money I would be spending on Aubrey's "practice shots" if I was having to develop them before viewing them!
Yikes! Look at that crazy haired blonde baby! This "doo" came to life one evening after bathtime--compliments of Daddy! You are probably wondering where the blonde hair came from--my sister has lighter hair and my hair was on the sandy blonde side when I was younger (much younger!).

A little over a week ago, we had the opportunity to spend some time with our friends--the Anderson's--from Wichita. That afternoon the kids enjoyed time at Wonderscope, a children's museum. They enjoyed many fun activities especially making pizza & grocery shopping.
I came home from the grocery store one day to a very quiet house. When I walked around the corner I saw a huge "castle" in our living room with two little girls and one Daddy hiding inside. It was the best fort--excuse me "castle"--I have ever seen.
