Slippery!

A trip to the Crown Center is almost a must when visiting Kansas City so we definitely had to take my parents and grandmother there during their visit. We have been able to do something new almost everytime we have gone and that proved true once again. The day was sunny and a little chilly but nice.
We of course had to take Poppa Art to Fritz's, the train restaurant, where the hamburgers aren't the best but the entertainment grabs your attention. Then we headed to the....ice skating rink. And, I managed to talk everyone into trying out the ice except for my grandmother and Abigail of course. We had such a good time and I think everyone enjoyed themselves...and we escaped without broken bones! Aubrey was a little nervous about doing the skating thing but once she was out on the ice she had a great time! By the end of our adventure she was even letting go of the fence everyonce in awhile. She looked like such a natural!
Daddy enjoyed helping her out and keeping her safe.
Poppa Art used to ice skate quite a bit as a child so he really enjoyed getting out on the ice again.

Brian and I had a great time...I finally convinced him that we needed to go since everyone else was getting a little chilly.
While we all skated Abigail and Great Grandma enjoyed entertaining each other...or maybe they were entertained by the rest of us. We were all glad that we took the plunge and got out on those skates.
