What Are The Chances?

I had a moment of deja vu yesterday. First of all let me give you a little background about the first incident. When Aubrey was around 2 years of age she was playing with my nail polish (it was a great way for her to practice learning her colors) and one morning she dumped the container of polish and the red bottle broke. This left a spot of red that resembled a crime scene in the closet of our Wichita home.

Well, yesterday I had told Aubrey we could paint her nails which she was extremely excited about. She was hurrying around getting all the stuff out--cotton balls, paper towels, and quick dry spray. Lastly, she pulled out the tray of finger nail polish. (Ever since the first event occurred I have been so hesitant to let her even hold a bottle of polish.) I immediately blurted out "Why don't you just put that polish on my bed instead of taking it to your bathroom". Well, in her excitement phase she did not hear me and the next thing I heard was CRASH! I immediately had a pit in my stomach. I managed to take a deep breath and then ran. This time our tile floor had immediately turned BRIGHT pink and Aubrey was crying uncontrollably. I didn't know what to do first. Time was of essence and I unfortunately didn't have time to console Aubrey. I managed to get the girls out of the bathroom so they wouldn't get cut, grabbed a hand towel, and began wiping up. The end result was much better than I thought it was going to be when I initially heard that crash. I was able to get all of the bright pink off the tile and the only remains are some small spots of bright pink on the grout. Phew!
