Disneyland

When we returned to Kansas, Brian asked Aubrey what her favorite part of the California trip was and she replied "Disneyland". We had been talking about going to Disneyland for quite sometime and on Saturday morning when I woke Aubrey up and told her we needed to get ready to go to Disneyland her eyes lit up and she didn't need any prodding to get going even though it was 6:30am. We hit the ground running early that morning to beat the busy crowds and get the most out of our Disney experience--and that we did!

Michelle, Chad, Emily & Chase joined us as well as Cousin John and his daughters Ana and Sonja. We were able to jump on many rides in the morning and enjoyed some of the more kid friendly rides. Dad Sommer and Jan met us for lunch at which point they took Abigail with them so she could have a relaxing afternoon.

After lunch the kids were ready to try some bigger rides and they enjoyed rides I don't think I would have gone on when I was 10! Some of the favorites were Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain, Matterhorn Bobsleds, Autopia, and Space Moutain. Aubrey was so cute--she was completely speechless during each ride and then at the end she would say "I want to go on that one again".
The teacups,...

...Dumbo,...

...and Jasmine! During the evening hours we enjoyed the parade and some of the fireworks. When it started to get dark Aubrey asked if we could go on one more ride and I said yes. She then asked "Can we go on two more? I am being really good!". She finally began to wear down at 10:30 pm. We had a long day but it was so much fun.
