"To Our House Grandmother Goes"

We had to change the lyrics of the familiar song because Grandma came to our house instead of us going over the river and through the woods to hers. Grandma Sharon came to watch the girls while I worked full time. It was so enjoyable having her here and the girl's LOVED it! They did so many fun things during the week days and Brian and I had the opportunity to enjoy her over the weekend as well.

The girl's did some very creative and fun things with Grandma. Some of their favorites were setting up a restaurant with a menu and money, an obstacle course in the garage, water balloons, a morning at the neighborhood pool, dancing, walks, sewing together, and playing with the neighbor kids.

During the weekend we headed to Crown Center and enjoyed a puppet show and learning all about money at "Moneyville". They had a toy bank with enlarged coins (Abigail absolutely loved carrying them around), a lemonade stand, a grocery store, and many other fun things. When our tummy's became hungry we took a break to enjoy a meal at "Fritz's". This restaurant was the best! The food was delievered to our booth by toy trains. The food delivery process and the trains going here and there constantly kept the girl's entertained so much they forgot they were dying of hunger. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera so I didn't get a picture of Aubrey and Brian wearing their conductor hats.

Our week with Grandma Sharon was great! She was such a big help in more ways than just watching the kids. Thank you so much for sharing your time with us, Sharon!
