At this blessed Easter season may His love bring peace and joy to you. Happy Easter!
It was such a special treat to have some of our family in our home for Easter this year. We had so much fun celebrating Jesus' ressurection with everyone who was physically with us but with also our family that is miles away.
Papa John, Grandma Jan, Michelle, Chad, Emily, Chase, Shelly, Tony and Ally (Jan's daughter and her family) all joined us. After an early Easter service we enjoyed watching the kids hunt for over 100 Easter eggs in our home since it was chilly outside. After they each found their 27 eggs it was difficult to keep them from opening them all. They will definitely need to enjoy all of the candy they received in portions or we will have quite a few tummy aches. It was then time for a delicious meal and dessert before a few hours of relaxation.
The weekend and especially Easter day flew by. It has been so fun this Easter season as we listen to Aubrey tell the story of Jesus riding on the donkey down the street that has been adorned by palms, carrying his cross and being tortured by so many, dying on the cross, the empty tomb, and finally going up to Heaven. She is still trying to figure out exactly what sins are but I think she is catching on and she realizes that Jesus did a wonderful thing for all of us. It is fun to experience these things through the eyes of a child and joyful to help her learn about her faith.
Aubrey, Chase, Abigail and Emily
Thanks for the boost Daddy
