Guess what! Abigail is finally WALKING! She has toyed with the idea for about six months now. In fact on January 19th she walked 10 steps across the kitchen and didn't think twice about it. She took 5 steps the next day and then decided it was much safer and faster to just crawl. Whoever said babies don't have control?!
Out of the blue, she started taking a few steps here and there this past weekend. Now she takes off without even thinking about it. She really likes the applause and praise when she has accomplished a "walk on the wild side" and shows us by giving us some pretty big grins. Life could be interesting as she masters this milestone. She has always been such an active little thing that I have a feeling she will be into EVERYTHING! She has already become pretty daring. As she crawls up the stairs she will stand by herself on a step and start to look around. She has already heard many times that she is not quite that good yet. She also likes to climb into her new rocking chair and "surf". This is when she stands up and rocks instead of sitting on her bottom. We'll see how many boo-boos little Abby endures!
