You've heard the saying "things can happen in a flash". Well, that happened to us last week. Abby & I were outside waiting for Aubrey to get off the school bus. Abby ran to the back yard & when the bus turned to come towards our house she ran back towards me in the driveway. As she was running towards me I noticed that she had a bump under her right eye. It didn't seem to bother her at all...there were no tears, no itching & no complaining. I started to examine it & it looked a lot like a bee or wasp sting but she didn't act like it. I quickly gave her some Benadryl but it continued to swell...bigger & bigger. I took her to a local urgent care center. After they examined her, they did not think that it was some type of a sting but simply allergies. She was prescribed an allergy eye drop which seemed to help a little bit. She continued to have swelling that came & went for about 4 days. Thankfully, it is now gone. We are now hoping that it doesn't come back.
