Night Of The Living Farm

Deanna Rose (one of our favorite places to visit) holds a special evening event every year around Halloween. They call it "Night Of The Living Farm". The girls & I have never attended before but some friends' of our highly recommended it & in fact invited us to go with them. Since the weather was beautiful this past Saturday we decided it would be a great way to spend the evening.
The kids all get dressed up in their Halloween costumes & the fun begins. They were each greeted with a goody bag at the entrance. Once we got into the farm there were goodies galore...free kernel corn, yogurt, milk, & candy, candy, candy!!!
Here are the girls with their friends...Micaela, Finn & James. Abby is Finn's cheerleader which was too cute!
The first thing we went to do was the Non-scary Hay rack Ride (yes, there is a scary one also). It was then off to the bounce houses, face painting, tattoos, games, slides, & more.
Aubrey has really gotten into the Berenstein Bears & when she saw Sister Bear walking down the path her eyes became very big & her excitement grew.
The favorite activity of the evening was the dance floor. They had the music blaring & teenage girls dancing with all of the little ones. We managed to get them pulled away for a little while so we could participate in the flashlight scavenger hunt but we had to promise that we would come right back. They held us to that!
Everyone, including the adults, had a great evening. The kids hung in there until the very end which was 9pm. The girls are already asking when we get to do that again. It may have to be a yearly tradition.
