The Pumpkin Patch

It is now the time of year to head out to the pumpkin patch to pick out that perfect pumpkin. Since the weather was beautiful on Sunday we thought we better get out & get it done before the weather gets colder. We went to the KC Pumpkin Patch which is much more than just pumpkin picking. In fact there are so many things to keep you busy that we were there for 2 1/2 hours.
The first thing that caught the girls' eye was the huge pile of beautiful white pumpkins. We then headed to the miniature train that took them for a ride.
It was then time for the slides which kept them occupied for a long time. Abby was able to go down them by herself this year which made her day! They tried all kinds of tricks including head first moves that landed Abby's mouth in a pile of dirt one time but that didn't stop her from trying it again.
The area is also filled with wooden tractors, fire trucks, farm trucks, trains & many play gyms that they enjoyed climbing on & exploring.
They then managed to talk Mommy & Daddy into taking a ride down the slide...Whee!!!
We finally talked them into heading out to the pumpkin patch on the tractor trailer to pick out our pumpkins.
Now it is time to get them carved & enjoy some roasted pumpkin seeds!!!

It's great to see you "back" here on the blog. You sure did a lot of blogging in the last couple of days! It's so much better than Facebook because I get to read your comments as I go along--and I really love that! :)
Looks like you guys have been busy having a great time. Give those two precious girls a big hug from us!
