Brian had a mini-vacation when he spent a few days in California recently. He met his Mom & sister in
Visalia where they were able to spend some quality time with his Grandma
Wiebe, Aunt Barb & Uncle Wally. It had been a little while since he had seen his grandmother so this was a special time together. The first few days were low key just doing things together...playing games; working on puzzles; enjoying yummy food; visiting; attending a high school reunion with his mom, Aunt & Uncle; sprint car races with Wally & enjoying the beautiful sunshine.
Barb's birthday was coming up & it was fun for Brian to be able to celebrate with her a little early. She loves animal/jungle themed things & we thought this candle stick & candle were perfect for her living room.
Half-way through his trip he, Barb, Michelle & his mom took a road-trip to San Luis
Obispo to spend some time at Barb's home. Barb sure knows how to be the hostess with the
mostest. She was full of fun ideas with the first one being a plane ride in a small plane over the coast & ocean around San Luis
Obispo. What a fun experience!!! They were able to see for miles & get an eagle eye view of the area.

That evening, they roasted
hot dogs & marshmallows over an open fire on the beach...now you can't do that in Kansas everyday!!!
San Luis
Obispo is near wine country. They spent one afternoon sampling some California wine at some of the local wineries. We are anxiously awaiting the bottles of wine that Brian had shipped back for us to enjoy together.
The ocean crashes against some rocks near the coast...
...and the beautiful sunset over the ocean.
Brian is so glad he was able to get away & spend some special time with his family in California. Many old memories were enjoyed & new ones made!
