Hodge Podge Day

Our last full day with our visitors was packed with many new things...some for our visitors and some for all of us! Jorge works in a medical laboratory in Ecuador and is very interested in the medical field. I took them to the urgent care center that I work in and showed them around as well as explained the patient flow process. We then headed to one of the larger hospitals in the area to let him get a look at an American hospital. He enjoyed seeing them and stated that they are very similar to the hospitals in Ecuador just much bigger.
It was then to a well known spot in Kansas City...the Country Club Plaza. We admired some of the beautiful fountains, enjoyed lunch at a patio restaurant, and looked around at the many shopping establishments.
It was then time for our visit to the Nelson-Atkins Art Museum. This place was filled with tons of beautiful artwork. There were sculptures, canvas paintings, antique pieces, and many other things. Many hours could be spent here but ours were limited due to two small girls that were interested in the quick tour.
