Graduation

The two years that Aubrey has been a preschool student at Redeemer Lutheran Preschool has zoomed by and this evening she officially graduated. That's right...complete with a graduation ceremony and all. It was so much fun, very cute, the closing to a wonderful two years, and an opening to the next step...Kindergarten.
Aubrey and her friends sang songs for the audience to begin with and then the ceremony began. They dressed in their caps & gowns, walked down the aisle to Pomp & Circumstance, received their diplomas, and enjoyed cake & punch at the celebration reception following.
Aubrey's teacher, Mrs. Killingsworth presents her with her preschool diploma.
The proud graduate amongst her preschool friends.

The evening was so enjoyable. The preschool teachers did a lot of hard work to make this a special night for the kids & their families. It is so hard to believe that Aubrey will be in Kindergarten in a few short months. We are so grateful for the outstanding start she has received through preschool. She loves learning, is excited about school, and enjoys her friends.
Aubrey & her friend, Micaela, get a farewell hug from Mrs. Killingsworth.
Aubrey & Abigail both enjoyed the yummy cupcakes served at the reception.
A special guest returned for the graduation. Aubrey's teacher from last year, Mrs. Saint, surprised us all! She moved to Arizona after the school year last year. Aubrey really enjoyed Mrs. Saint as her teacher & was thrilled to see her once again this evening.
Here are a couple of the songs that the students sang before the official graduation ceremony. I am going to miss all of the preschool programs where I hear so many sweet & cute songs.

Aubrey gets her diploma.

I failed to get this song on video during the ceremony but it was so cute that I had to get a clip of Aubrey singing it at home. It's off to Kindergarten we go...

Congratulations, Aubrey! The ceremony looks so cute, and what a big class. Not used to seeing so many kids in one place. ;-)
