Sunday Surprise

We usually spend Sundays preparing for the upcoming week and getting some odds and ends done around the house. This past Sunday afternoon while Aubrey was at a friend's house and Abigail was napping we thought we would tackle our Christmas letter. However, some others had a different plan in mind. At about 3:30pm we heard a knock on the door. Since Aubrey was at a friend's house I figured it was probably them, but I was delightfully WRONG! When I opened the door my jaw dropped as I saw Brian's mom, sister, niece and nephew and heard a big SURPRISE! I was in total shock and all I could think to say was "What are you doing here". How rude is that?! Michelle immediately said we wanted to come for Aubrey's school Christmas program tomorrow. (How sweet is that!?) It was about that time that Brian came around the corner and saw them...another unsuspecting sole. We finally got our wits about us and invited them in out of the freezing cold weather.
Brian quickly went to get Aubrey from the neighbor's and Abigail woke up from the excitement. Aubrey had about the same reaction but was so excited to play with her cousins once things calmed down. We then enjoyed an evening of togetherness.
