Preparing

Soon after Thanksgiving we began to decorate our house for the Christmas holiday. What a fun chore...out come the tubs and everyone chips in. The girls decorated their own trees this year. It was fun to watch Abigail get into hanging her ornaments and it gave me a chance to decorate the big tree by myself (at least for a little while). Through the past weeks we have also been preparing our hearts through Advent as we anticipate Jesus' birth. Every night this week we have been lighting the Love candle to represent the love that is revealed in the light of Christ. It has been so much fun to celebrate this season with Aubrey and Abigail. Aubrey is beginning to understand more and more about the Christmas story and we learn as well by looking at things through her eyes.

Abigail is so proud of her decorated tree and likes to have the lights on at all times.
Aubrey is as well but does not want the lights on unless it is dark outside.
