Santa Clause came to town...or maybe we should say he came to The Bass Pro Shop. Livia, Lance and Stanton came for the weekend so we thought it would be a perfect time to take the kids to meet Jolly Old St. Nicholas. Aubrey, Abigail and Stanton wrote Santa their letters with the help of Aunt Livia/Mommy and they were all set to go. When we walked into The Bass Pro Shop Rudolph's footprints led the way to the back of the store where Santa's Village was decored to the max. Anticipation rose as the line diminished in front of us and there he was with his fluffy white beard and rosey cheeks. Stanton was the first to sit on his lap and he really enjoyed visiting with Santa. No fears and no tears!
It was then our turn...well there were definitely some fears and tears (hence Mommy & Daddy's presence in the picture). Aubrey did pretty well (better than expected since she kept telling me "I don't think I will sit on his lap but I might stand by him") but Abigail squirmed and wormed off Santa's lap rather quickly.

Looks like both girls did pretty well--you'll have to check out Gabi's picture with Santa when I get it posted this week. So much to do, so little time before we drive back to KS on Saturday!
How cute! My boys are terrified of going anywhere near Santa. I've always wondered why kids are scared of him. Hope you have safe and merry Christmas!
