A Dentist Visit

We have been reading a lot of books about going to the dentist, focusing on bushing our teeth really good, and talking about eating less sugar lately. Today was our big day as we went to the dentist to see how our teeth looked. This wasn't Aubrey's first teeth cleaning but it has been a year since she had it done. So, I was a little nervous on how it was going to go. As we sat in the waiting room, I saw a sign that said "Please do not bring children to your appointment unless you have someone who can watch them". Uh-Oh! We had Abigail in tow and I was curious how the appointments were going to go. I immediately started telling myself, I should have gotten someone to watch her while Aubrey and I attended our appointments and then I started
thinking. No, Aubrey can entertain Abby while I am getting my teeth clean (with a lot of doubt in my thoughts). I had snacks, toys and Abigail strapped in her carseat so she couldn't get loose. Well, both girls did fantastic. Abigail did great and was very content with her toys and snacks for almost 2 hours. Aubrey was a great big girl while they counted, cleaned, poked and scratched her teeth. She chose cookie dough flavored tooth paste and strawberry vitamins for her teeth. She was given some very pretty sunglasses to protect her eyes from the things that fly off your teeth while they are cleaned.
Of course every outing with small children has a funny moment behind them and this was ours for the day. I was getting my teeth cleaned. I couldn't see anything except the ceiling above me and the hygenists face. I heard Aubrey ask "Mommy, why are these in Abigail's diaper bag?". When I could talk I said "What do you mean by these?". She walked over to me and had her panties held up high so everyone could see them. I had to laugh and so did the hygenist.
