Soccer

This Fall Aubrey has tried something new...soccer! She was very timid in the beginning because it was such a new thing for her. But, by the end of the season which ended on Halloween morning she is understanding it much more.
The team's name is G-Force & their color is purple. Her team consists of 7 girls that are all in the three Kindergarten classes at Clearwater Creek. She had fun getting to know some of the girls that she will be going to school with over the next few years.
The game of soccer is all about being aggressive & taking the ball away from the other player...against all things that we teach young children. I feel like we are always telling our daughters to be kind, gentle-hearted & to share. Well, that is in everything except soccer. Aubrey went out onto the soccer field at the beginning of her first job & ran with the pack around the soccer ball but didn't really ever try to go & get the ball. So, at half-time we told her..."Go out there & get that ball from anyone who has it. Be aggressive."...and she did!
She continued to improve & understand the game more as the season went on. She even made a goal here & there...
Here is a very serious Aubrey watching the game intently from the sideline.
But, there was also time for other activities while the other teammates were out on the field. At this particular moment, they were spelling out "Rush" on Aubrey's shirt. What cute girls!
Now, back to the game.
Aubrey two good friends, Micaela & Madison, were on her team. They had a great time playing together on & off the field.
