Proud Of Our Rookie!

Yesterday was an exciting day for Brian and I am so proud of him that I have to share the news. Occassionally at the regional meetings that he attends awards are presented for various accomplishments throughout the previous year. When they presented the last award yesterday it was Brian's name that was called. He has been named "Rookie of the Year" for his region. Since he was in a "new" position over the past year he qualified to be nominated and he was then chosen as the top candidate. He was presented with various rewards for achieving this accomplishment and received a standing ovation from his colleagues.

Brian knew that he was being nominated but was unaware that he had won until yesterday. He has done a superb job transitioning into a new position in a new area. It is fun to hear his coworkers and those above him describe his work ethic, professionalism, and eagerness to succeed. Brian does not do things half way--he puts everything he has into them! When Brian and I were discussing the award he said, "Kim, I can't take all the credit for receiving this award. I would not have been able to accomplish all that I did this year without the help of my coworkers, especially John (his team partner)." What a great guy!
