Little Swimmer

Aubrey just completed 2 weeks of swimming lessons and really improved on her swimming skills. She had such a great time and always looked forward to going each morning. There were a few mornings she had her swimsuit on before she even came out of her room. This is the same little girl who cried through her entire swim lesson 2 years ago--YEAH! Aubrey's class name was Guppies II and they learned how to safely swim without any flotation. She still has a lot of work but it was a good start to the summer. Her friend Hannah was in the same class.

Aubrey just had to have goggles for her class. She always put them on (resting on her forehead) before her lesson and always had them in the same spot when I would pick her up afterwards. So, I thought she was using them the entire lesson. However, during our parent's watch day today I realized that those goggles are purely decoration. They sat on her forehead the entire lesson. Brian and I kept telling her to pull them down over her eyes before she would perform the next skill and she would just look at us and shake her head. We finally convinced her before she jumped in.

Kicking her legs while she rode the "Big Fish"...

working on her back float...

swimming through the hoola hoop under water...

and jumping in all by herself!

Good job Aubrey! I am so proud of you. It looks like you did a great job and we can't wait to swim with you in KC! Love you!
