"He's Got The Power!"

Aubrey has enjoyed Vacation Bible School this week. The theme was "Power Lab" and everything was set on a science theme. She learned that Jesus gives her the power to be thankful, the power to help others, the power to be brave, the power to live forever, and the power to tell others about God. Through the week they became acquainted with "characters" who taught them each of the previous lessons--Fizz (a chemistry beaker), Sparki (a lightbulb), Electra (a lightning bolt), Max (a battery), and Dewd (a water droplet).

Each day Aubrey took different dry & canned goods as well as change from her piggy bank for an offering. The food collected at the end of the week went to a local food pantry and the money was helping others in our community as well. She was sure to have her "gifts" in hand when we went each morning--she kept reminding me how much she was helping people. Since today was the last day they invited parents to attend a program. They sang songs, danced, and told us about there week. The program ended with a slide show of pictures taken of the kids throughout the week.
