Budding Basketball Star

Aubrey played basketball through the YMCA this winter.  Her team was known as the Fireballs.  The team consisted of 10 girls in either Kindergarten or First Grade.  They practiced once a week & played games on Saturday evenings.  Aubrey seemed to enjoy playing.  It was definitely a chance for her to learn something new.  You never realize how much there is to know & remember about a sport until you try to teach little ones!

Aubrey's coaches were very good about giving all of the girls a chance to try out each position.  Aubrey was always excited to throw the ball in but a little hesitant to bring the ball down the court.  When she was given the chance to dribble down the court she did pretty well.
