While the girls & I were in Wichita for the Reba McEntire/George Strait concert, Abby slept the night away without her binky. This was totally unplanned & she did fantastic. She had fallen asleep upstairs with the big kids & when I got back from the concert I decided it may be best to take her downstairs with me to sleep. Well, once I had picked her up & searched for her binky I realized that I couldn't find it. So, that meant either turning on the light & waking up all of the other kids...or...attempting a binky-free night. We (I) chose the later & she slept the night away.
The next morning, Aunt Michelle asked Abby if she would like to leave her binky there & surprisingly Abby smiled and nodded her head. She gave her binky to Aunt Michelle (who then passed it on to me in case we hit a point of desperation) & that was that. That evening, back in Olathe, we had to explain to Abby multiple times that we didn't have her binky. She reluctantly closed her eyes & fell asleep. And, the next morning...
we made homemade donuts to celebrate! Way to go Abby!!!
