Happy Weekend

Papa Sommer & Grandma Jan came to town for the weekend & we had a great time being together. They arrived on Friday just in time to head to Aubrey's last T-ball game. She was so excited to have special guests to watch her game. She was able to play the catcher position which thrilled her.
Saturday started off with some yummy doughnuts followed by a couple hours of relaxation. It was then off to the pool after lunch. The sun hid behind the clouds most of the time & the water was a bit chilly until you got used to it but the smiles & laughter brightened up the afternoon.

We then headed up to the Legends to grab a yummy Mexican meal followed by a T-Bones (minor league) baseball game.

We sat on the hill in the outfield to watch the game. Not far from where we sat was the kiddie area filled with a huge playset, a bounce house & an inflatable slide. Needless to say the girls were anxious to play a little more than watch the game. However, they did settle in from time to time to catch a glimpse of a catch or hit.

Aubrey wanted to get a close up look so she went down by the wall surrounding the outfield.

Abigail was very entertaining all night long. She had more fun reading the program & various other things that kept us laughing from time to time...including this adorable pose!

Sunday was a day of celebration for John & Jan...their 12th wedding anniversary. When they arrived Friday night we had a bottle of chilled champagne awaiting them in their "suite". They shared the bubbly with Brian & I that evening.

We had a fantastic weekend. It is always fun to have Papa John & Grandma Jan in our home to share in the things we do & to make memories along the way!
