Fun Weekend

My oh my! This & a couple following posts are LONG overdue. Where has the time gone? I am not sure but our family blog has been neglected. Well, the girls are napping, Brian is mowing & it is time for me to catch up a bit.
The weekend of Father's Day Brian, Abby & I spent some time in Wichita as we awaited the day Aubrey would fly home from Grammie & Poppa Merrick's house. It was fun to be able to spend some time relaxing with Dad Sommer, Jan, & the Ingram's. Days were spent at the pool & playing while evenings were spent watching Emily & Chase play softball/T-ball & relaxing outside on the deck.

On Saturday the clouds rolled in & the rain poured all morning long. But, the sun started to peek out about 2 & the heat rose. It ended up being a perfect afternoon to spend at the pool. The kids had a blast as did all of us adults. Dad Sommer & Michelle relax on the lawn chairs as they watch the kiddos splash around in the water.

Brian started a fun game of catch with Chase & Emily. He would throw them a ball as the jumped into the pool. It was as fun to watch as it was for them to play!

Brian, Abby & I had a great time spending the afternoon with family but we missed little Aubrey splashing around & jumping in the pool.

That evening we grilled burgers & feasted on a delicious meal as we celebrated Father's Day with Dad Sommer. Emily, Chase & Abby enjoyed playing with him outside on the patio before, through & after dinner.
