Poppa Art traveled by air to come and watch Aubrey in her dance recital. His travel went all but smooth. In fact he spent the night in the Denver airport because there were delays that caused him to meet his connection & that lead to a big mess of getting another flight to Kansas City. But, he made it in the nick of time on Saturday morning & was still all smiles.After the recital we enjoyed a steak dinner & then an evening of fishing. The girls found the ice cream man at the park & enjoyed licking away while sitting on Poppa's lap.
Aubrey enjoyed having him there to help with her fishing pole when Daddy was busy, and...
...to top it off she caught a Bass! We all were very excited. She barely had enough time to put her popsicle down before her fish came up out of the water.
On Sunday we celebrated Father's Day a little early. It was a perfect afternoon so we enjoyed lunch outside on the patio. It was so special to have him here with us. Thank you Dad for all the trouble you had to go through to get here!
