While we were gone on our Christmas travels Olathe was hit hard by snow...tons of snow. We had heard about it but didn't even realize how much snow was actually here until we pulled into our neighborhood & our eyes grew bigger & bigger. I am pretty sure that this is more snow that I can ever remember seeing at one time. We hurried & unpacked so that Brian & the girls could get bundled up to go outside & play in the white stuff.
We had enough snow in the back yard that sloped down & ended up being pretty nice for a mild sled trail. The snow storms that hit the area were also accompanied by high winds which led to a lot of drifting.
We had a very kind neighbor snowplow our drive while we were gone. Abby is standing in front of a mound of snow that he plowed. It is a little bit taller than she is.

I have a feeling that this snow is going to be here for awhile. Even if it starts melting soon there is a lot to melt.
