Spring Break

This week is Spring Break for us.  It has been a very interesting week as far as the weather goes.  We woke up on Monday morning to a blanket of snow with snow continuing to fall throughout the morning.  By afternoon, the snow had melted and the temperatures continued to climb throughout the week.  Yesterday the temperature topped out at 73 degrees.
We have spent a lot of time just hanging out and enjoying a relaxed schedule.  We have had a few playdates and ran a few errands.  Yesterday was our busiest day.  The Mommyshop, a consignment shop with over 50 vendors in Overland Park, had various Spring Break activities for the kids through the week.  We took part in their cupcake decorating day.  The girls had a blast and it was fun to run into some friends while we were there.
Sam Spanel...a little friend of Abby's that is also a neighbor.
Carolyn Herman...a classmate of Aubrey's.

After lunch we learned about 'Birds of Prey' during a presentation at Ernie Miller Nature Center here in Olathe.  The kids learned all about eagles, hawks, falcons and vultures.  Aubrey helped with the presentation a bit by volunteering to hold a replica of the size of a hawk.
