Come On Over...To A Birthday Party

When we have birthdays it seems like we celebrate about 3 or 4 times between family parties, celebrating on the actual day and friend parties.  I love it!!!  Abby's friends came over for a BIG celebratory playdate.  The fun started outside one brisk, cool afternoon in a bounce house that we borrowed from a friend.  The cool air didn't seem to bother those little kids...they just jumped and jumped!
But, we did head in after awhile to play a few different games.  Freeze dance was a hit as they boogied to bubble gum themed songs and when the music stopped...you guessed it...they had to freeze.  It was fun to watch what types of poses they came up with.
Next on the list was the bubble gum ball relay.  We divided the kids into two different teams.  They had to race to the table, pour the gum from the full jar into the empty jar, race to the end of the line and then the next kid does the same thing.  They all seemed to enjoy it and we only spilled a few gum balls at the end of the game.
Loud hollers filled the room when we announced that cake was next.  They kids sang Happy Birthday to Abby in their sweetest voices and then filled their bellies with cake & ice cream.
And, last but not least...gifts!  Yea for gum!!!
Abby & her friends had a great time.
