1st Graders Celebrating Valentine's Day

On the afternoon of February 14th Aubrey's class had a Valentine's Party.  Abby and I were able to go up and help with the party.  The kids had so much fun.  They ate like kings and queens...sandwiches, chips, cookies, cupcakes, grapes, jello jigglers and juice boxes. 

The craft was to decorate heart shaped sugar cookies and of couse...then eat!

Aubrey has grown quite fond of her little friend, Maisie.  They have a lot of fun together.  The class enjoyed passing out their valentine's and putting them in each other's decorated mailboxes.  And, that wasn't all...they also played "Hot Heart" which is a valentine's version of "Hot Potato".  It was so fun to watch the smiles and hear the giggles as they played the afternoon away.
