Fantastic Fathers

The girls and I are lucky to have a few special guys in our lives...grandfathers, dads, uncles, brothers...and we are blessed to live each day with their Daddy, Brian.  The girls started thinking about what they could do to make their Daddy feel special on his special day.  They made a few crafts and planned a day full of fun things...church, lunch, swimming, fishing, grilling and game playing.  We had to get the day started early so we could fit it all in and guess what...we did!
Aubrey had made him a King's crown because she wanted him to feel like a King for a day.  Brian was such a sport to wear the glitter adorned creation that she had put so much thought and work into.  Both girls gave him a combined gift...a Father's Day notebook that includes hand prints from both of them and they each answered some questions about Brian ranging from completely thoughtful to completely silly.  Each year the girls will add to the notebook with new hand prints and questions.  I discovered this idea from my friend Melanie at Espresso Yourself Creatively and was so excited to make one for our Daddy.
The fishing activity lasted only a short while due to the very hot afternoon but we had a great time participating in one of Daddy's (and the girls') favorite activities.
